Privacy

What we store, and what we deliberately do not.

What we collect

Your account

Your email address and a hash of your password. We cannot recover your password if you forget it — it is never stored in a readable form.

Your notes

The title, text, and country tag on notes you write. Notes are private to your account. Other members cannot read them, and site administrators see that an action occurred in the audit log — not what you wrote.

Security audit records

Sign-ins, note changes, and similar actions are recorded with a timestamp and network address. This is to investigate abuse and to protect your account. It does not contain your password or note content.

What we do not collect

No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no selling or sharing of member data. There is no ad network on this site.

Community chat

Chat runs on a separate, self-hosted system. Messages, channels, and chat accounts are stored there under its own policies — they are not part of the notes and account data held by this application.

Self-hosting

NomadNexus is built to run on infrastructure its members control. Where an instance is self-hosted, the operator — including you, if you run one — holds the database directly, with no third party between members and their data.
